Tool diamond dressing

The dressing method of diamond grinding wheel is generally carried out by installing the grinding wheel on the spindle of the machine tool, or it can be used as a workpiece, and the diamond grinding wheel can be dressing with an ordinary grinding wheel. The trimming process generally includes two parts: sharpening and shaping. This method can be achieved at the same time as finishing the shape modification, or they can be carried out separately. The diamond pen is one of the important tools in this trimming method, and the diamond pen uses a single diamond or multiple diamonds. When this method is used to dress non-metal bond diamond grinding wheels, especially ceramic and resin bond diamond grinding wheels, the dressing effect will be worse, but it can also meet the general goals.

Ordinary Abrasive Dressing Method

The surface of the diamond grinding wheel is ground with a silicon carbide grinding wheel block or an oxidized grinding wheel block to meet the dressing requirements of the diamond grinding wheel. The ordinary abrasive grain dressing method uses the abrasive grains of the ordinary grinding wheel to grind the surface of the diamond grinding wheel, slowly removing the bond material on the surface, and exposing the diamond particles to achieve the ideal dressing effect. By adjusting the grinding wheel speed, feed rate and particle size density and other parameters, it is possible to adjust the shedding amount and exposed height of the diamond grinding wheel after dressing. When the ordinary grinding wheel particles with higher particle size are used for dressing, the dressing efficiency will be higher and the number of diamond particles falling off will be larger. Conversely, when the ordinary grinding wheel particles adopt a smaller particle size, the number of diamond particles falling off will decrease, and the efficiency will also decrease.

Dressing method of diamond grinding wheel: free abrasive dressing method

This kind of grinding wheel dressing method achieves the dressing effect by applying pressure to the free diamond abrasive grains to decompose and grind the binder material. The grinding wheel factory pointed out that one method is to put the diamond grinding wheel in the mixture of abrasive and kerosene, and press the dressing disc on the surface of the grinding wheel. The free abrasive adhering to the outer surface of the grinding wheel will enter between the two under the drive of pressure. With the continuous rotation of the grinding wheel, the metal-based bond will be gradually abraded by the free abrasive, so that the diamond abrasive grains are exposed and the sharpening is completed. When the height of the exposed diamond particles is equivalent to the size of the free abrasive between the discs, no force will be generated between the grinding wheel and the sharpening disc. By changing the pressure between the sharpening discs and the size of the abrasive, the surface morphology of the grinding wheel and the sharpening efficiency are improved.

Soft elastic trimming method

The dressing tool uses a very soft abrasive belt, which is softer than other abrasive belts, and its elasticity also has a good effect on dressing. The biggest feature of this method is to use this very soft thing to dress the grinding wheel. Experiments have found that this soft elastic trimming method is not only feasible in theory but also feasible in practice. The belt-type dressing device can also be used on ordinary grinders. During dressing, the mechanical body part of the dresser can be conveniently placed on the worktable of the grinder, and the grinding wheel is installed on the grinding wheel spindle.

Dressing method of diamond grinding wheel: online electrolytic dressing method

The characteristics of the online electrolytic dressing method are:

1. The mechanical structure is relatively simple, the device is precise but not large, and no other special equipment is needed.

2. The grinding wheel can be trimmed directly on the surface grinder without additional work error.

3. Simple operation and easy to learn.

4. It can achieve higher precision grinding, and can replace some ordinary polishing or grinding work.

5. It is difficult to use it to reshape the grinding wheel.

6. It cannot be used for dressing of diamond grinding wheels with non-conductive bond.

7. The electrolyte used in online trimming has the effect of corrosion.

Laser trimming

The laser dressing method can be used to dress the diamond grinding wheel. The high energy emitted by the laser can not only remove the bond of the diamond grinding wheel, but also can etch away the diamond particles on the surface of the grinding wheel. That is, the laser dressing method can not only sharpen, but also dress the diamond grinding wheel. In addition, the chemical and physical properties of the bond of the diamond grinding wheel and its abrasive particles are very different. The stable and easy-to-control characteristics of the laser can be used to adjust the laser parameters in an orderly manner. The thickness of the bond layer on the surface of the grinding wheel can be artificially determined, and then Control the exposed height of the abrasive grains of the diamond grinding wheel to complete the sharpening of the grinding wheel.
